Foundation Purchased SPOT Screener
“I am so excited that CVSD has a second Spot Vision screener!"
"It has been difficult to share one device between all (11) buildings. The improved efficiency will better serve students. The SPOT vision screener is an electronic device that resembles a camera. It takes a picture of the eyes and identifies vision problems, then stores the information electronically. Students do not need to respond to any questions so barriers to successful vision screening such as disease transmission, speech or language issues, and intellectual disability are removed. This rapid form of screening decreases the time needed for testing and limits interruptions to instruction time. Students are screened annually, so this is a benefit to all CVSD regular and special education students."
